Thinking I might start using Vox again since so many of my Twitter friends blog here. At some point though I would like to get the website setup for a photoblog.
Finally got around to doing the QOTD questions I missed. I decided to not do them all so I chose Best. Villian. Ever, My First Car and I’m reading. Also thought about doing the heavy rotation question too, still might later on today if I have time.
I am starting to enjoy online shopping a little too much, like $300+ too much. There’s just something so satisfying about getting a package in the mail. Some people are addicted to chocolate I am addicted to online shopping. Anybody wanna volunteer to pay my credit card bill? Anybody? How about half? $5? Never mind…
I am stumped about what to cook for dinner tonight. I prepared the baked chicken last night while watching Prison Break and WWE:Raw so that’s out of the way. Now all I have to do is figure out the side dishes and perhaps dessert, any ideas?
Tell us a little something about your first car. Do you have any photos you can share?
My first car was a 93 Mazda 626. It was a blue-purplish color so I referred to it as The Blue Machine. My parents purchased it for me when I was a junior in high school. However I didn’t officially drive it on my own until my senior year. I soon developed a love hate relationship with that car. I love the color and the body style but hated the fact that it wasn’t a V6. I was a speed demon back then which is why if I had a choice I would have chosen the black Pontiac Firebird with the T-top Dad had to practically drag me away from. For the next few months I went on and on about how that Firebird looked like me and how it didn’t bother me that I needed a pillow to see over the steering wheel. Shut up! Stop laughing this instant….I looked good in that car. The power driver seat was optional, a must have for me in almost any car. Other than that there was no reason for them to object to me driving that car – to me anyway. Mom saw it differently though. According to her I couldn’t drive to save my life and a 5.7L 275 hp V8 is a deadly weapon in the hands of inexperienced (nut) driver like me. I still remember storming off screaming “Ya’ll make me sick. Never want me to have anything I want. It’s not my fault you brought the wrong baby home from the hospital!” – They laughed of course. I heard Mom say after I slammed the bedroom door “ I wish you had been switched at birth, then I could give your ass back and pick up my real child. You silly fool! Keep on mumbling to yourself – loudly! And see what happens...(Turning to dad) Told you that girl is a certified nut, what fool gave her a driver’s license in the first place? (Yelling down the hall) Shut up girl before I come in there and shove my foot down your throat. Help me Jesus! I’m gon’ kill that child” we all had a good laugh after that…….I ain't no fool, it was either laugh (mom was cracking me up) and show there was no hard feeling or walk. Guess which option I chose?
What's your morning beverage of choice? Coffee, tea, juice? Homemade or store-bought?
It’s toss up between Dasani Strawberry, Minute Maid Tropical Punch, and Ocean Spray White Cranberry Apple. That’s if I drink any beverage at all. Sure hope my doctor isn’t reading this because she has scolded me more than once about not drinking enough liquids.
You'd have to give Twitter a try to get it...tons of interesting people to discuss politics, movies, video games etc.... read more
